Celebrating 5 years in Mortgage Insdustry
It’s hard to believe that what started as a leap of faith has turned into one of the most rewarding journeys of my life.
When I entered the mortgage industry, I had no financial background, I was stepping into a ๐๐๐% ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง-๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐๐ซ where every dollar had to be earned. It was exciting, but it was also terrifying.
ย
What I did have was something I believed was even more valuable:
ย
ย
I started this journey while raising two little children who were only I was still working a full-time job, studying for my mortgage license in the evenings, learning a completely new industry, and building a business from scratch. Life was busy, but I never wanted “being a mom” to become an excuse. Instead, it became my biggest motivation.
ย
Ironically, one of the biggest turning points in my life came when I was At the time it felt devastating, but today I look back and realize it was one of the greatest blessings in disguise. Had that not happened, I honestly don’t know if I would have ever found the courage to leave the security of a paycheque and chase this dream.
ย
Even after getting licensed, I continued working another job for a few months while building my mortgage business in the background. Then something happened that changed everything.
ย
By ๐ฆ๐ข๐ ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐๐๐, after completing my first two mortgage files, something clicked.
For the first time, I truly believed in myself.
I knew this wasn’t just going to be a side hustleโit was going to be my career.
I left my full-time job and committed myself completely. And when I say full-time, I really mean Early mornings, late nights, weekends, constant learning, countless networking events, marketing, following up, solving problems, and always finding ways to become better for my clients.
Looking back today, I can honestly say…
Every challenge, every rejection, every sleepless night, every lessonโit all shaped the mortgage professional I am today.
ย
I’m incredibly proud that these five years have led me to become one of the ๐ญ๐จ๐ฉ ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ฌ, but what makes me even prouder is the trust thousands of conversations and hundreds of families have placed in me to help them with one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives.
There are two people without whom this journey would never have been possible.
Peter Paley โthank you for believing in me before I fully believed in myself. Your mentorship, encouragement, and confidence in me gave me the courage to keep pushing forward. I’ll always be grateful for the opportunities, guidance, and support you’ve given me over these five years.
ย
And to my husband, Gurpreet Bansal …
ย
Thank you will never be enough.
You encouraged me to pursue this career before I even knew what was possible. While I was building a business with ๐ณ๐๐ซ๐จ ๐ข๐ง๐๐จ๐ฆ๐, you took on extra work and made sacrifices so our family could stay financially secure. You believed in my dream even during the moments when I questioned myself.
This success belongs to both of us.
I also want to thank everyone who has been part of this incredible journey:
ย
ย
Your support has meant more than words can ever express.
Five years ago, I was simply hoping someone would trust a brand-new mortgage broker.
Today, I wake up every morning doing a career that I genuinely love, helping families achieve their homeownership dreams.
Here’s to the first five yearsโand to many more years of learning, growing, serving, and making a difference.
From the bottom of my heart…
